Tips for Beautiful Eyebrows
Well groomed eyebrows accentuate the beauty of your face, and give you a well groomed finish.
Here are a few tips to follow:
Pluck your eyebrows at night to prevent any redness.
Use your facial structure to determine the shape of your eyebrows. This will enhance your features to their full potential.
Slant edged tweezers are best as they grip the hairs easily.
Never remove the hairs from above the brow.
Remember to get rid of any unwanted hairs between the eyebrows.
Pluck the hairs close to the roots and go in the direction of growth.
To maximise the definition of your eyebrows choose a similar shade to your own colour.
Use feathered strokes with a pencil working upwards and outwards. Any stray hairs can be set with some gel and combed through for neatness.
Trim any excess hair above the top of your natural arch carefully, you don’t want bald patches.
Check out the shape. Your brow should start at your tear duct, peak at your iris and end at the outer edge of your eye.
Prepare your eyebrows with astringent on some cotton wool.
Use tweezers at a 45 degree angle. Pluck below the brow line in the direction of your hair growth. Don’t pluck them to death. Try and follow your natural shape and not go for a particular look that’s impossible to achieve.
Patchy areas can be touched up using a sharp brow pencil. Alternatively, go for a tinted brow gel for a foolproof look. Any excess gel can be removed and left to set.
Women with fair skin tones should go for pencil or gel in shades of (blonde), olive tones (beige to brown), and Afro-Caribbean (grey).
Waxing is a popular alternative, do consult a qualified beautician first for advice or go to your local salon.
If you’re not that brave, use a dry eyebrow brush. Comb downwards, define with a pencil then comb upwards and outwards.
