ABOUT SABA: Saba is the smallest of the Netherlands Antilles measuring 5 square miles. The coral reefs are considered precious to Saban's and The Saba Marine Park sees to it that they are protected. The airstrip is also one like no other - it's one of the shortest in the entire Caribbean.
Saba is a well kept secret, however is popular with scuba divers, hikers and eco tourists in search of glorious natural scenery. For hikers there is Mount Scenery, or just relaxing with wonderful ocean views. The beaches on Saba have quite rocky shorelines. To enjoy the local arts the Breadfruit Art Gallery, exhibits local artist's work. Carnival is enjoyed at the end of July, with a week long celebration of dancing, music, parades and culture.
Accomodation is mainly in one of the four towns. There are distinct white cottages with red tile roofs in the the villages, with few inns and hotels, some villas and cottages to rent.
